Aeronautical engineers design, develop and test aircraft for commercial airlines, the military and businesses. Engineers model the initial design concepts and sketches based upon the client’s needs and ensure safety by making revisions based on production time and cost and constructing prototypes. They also write technical reports, manuals and bulletins, as well as review performance reports. Based on the customer’s feedback, they inspect for errors and fix them.
It is possible to secure work as an engineering technician with a Diploma in aircraft maintenance engineering. Most aeronautical engineering positions require at least B.E in aeronautical Engineering.
